Featured Speaker: Dawn Carey, Senior Director, Perdue Healthworks®

Dawn Carey
Dawn is the Senior Director of Perdue Healthworks® with responsibilities for the Health and Wellness Practice and Programs at Perdue Farms, including management of 25 Wellness Centers, with 110 medical and contracted clinical professionals, MDs, NPs, CDEs (Certified Diabetic Educators), RNs, LPNs, Medical Assistants and Medical Coordinators under her administration. Her duties are primarily focused on enterprise-wide leadership and strategic development of all human health systems, programs, and facilities to improve the health (work-related and non-work-related) of associates and their dependents. Over the course of her tenure, Dawn has participated and led many change management initiatives as a member of the Total Rewards division of Perdue, encompassing HRMS, Compensation and Benefits and as a valued partner of the Safety-Security-WellBeing division continues to strive for Zero Harm at Perdue.

Prior to her joining Perdue Farms, Dawn worked as a Director of an assisted living in Salisbury, with certifications obtained as a Healthcare Administrator in Maryland and Delaware. With 20 years of management experience, Dawn started her career in the banking and mortgage industry, entering real estate management and becoming fully responsible for the marketing and sales team division for a local property management, residential sales and commercial development company.

She grew up in Maryland and attended the Perdue School of Business, where she obtained a MBA with a concentration in Sales and Marketing. She has two children, is married and currently resides in Fenwick Island, DE.
