ERIC Virtual Briefing – Prioritizing Employee Mental Health: Solutions for Congress

  • July 28, 2021
  • 10:00 AM
  • Webinar

Our partner, the ERISA Industry Committee (ERIC), has invited NAWHC members to participate in a free webinar on Wednesday, July 28, at 10 a.m. EST, on ways policymakers and policy experts can unleash the full potential of employers and their innovative solutions to provide better access to much-needed mental health care.

The COVID-19 pandemic exacerbated the mental health crisis across America, opening our eyes to an escalating problem. As we adjusted to stay-at-home orders, social distancing, and remote learning and working, employers worked to provide employees with affordable and accessible mental and behavioral health care. Unfortunately, they encountered outdated policies that created challenges to offering better solutions.

During the briefing, you’ll hear key recommendations from ERIC’s report, “Prioritizing Employee Mental Health: Solutions for Congress," being released on July 28. The report highlights how lawmakers can help employers open and expand access to affordable, high-quality mental and behavioral health services for employees.

The briefing will be moderated by David Kendall, Senior Fellow for Health and Fiscal Policy at Third Way, and feature key leaders in this debate, including:

  • Jacqueline Heitner, Director of Global Health Benefits Design and Strategy, IBM
  • Annette Guarisco Fildes, President and CEO, ERIC
  • James Gelfand, Senior Vice President of Health Policy, ERIC

I hope you can join the conversation.
