Larry Boress is the Executive Director of the National Association of Worksite Health Centers, the nation’s only non-profit association dedicated to expanding the knowledge and capabilities of employer-sponsors of onsite health, fitness and wellness centers. NAWHC offers advocacy, education, benchmarking, networking and resources for employer sponsors and the vendor partners who manage or support worksite health and fitness facilities.
Mr. Boress, who has over 35 years experience in health care, also served as President and CEO of the Chicago-based, Midwest Business Group on Health. MBGH has over 130 self funded employers providing benefits for over 4 million lives. The coalition focuses on enabling employers to improve the value of their health benefits, increase the health of covered populations and and address the quality and safety of the health care system. In 2013, he co-founded the Private Exchange Evaluation Collaborative with three other business coalitions and PwC to provide unbiased information, advice and services to employers wanting to evaluate or contract with private health insurance exchange. Earlier in his career, he spent 17 years at the Illinois State Medical Society. During that time, he assisted physicians in their practices and represented the medical profession in its relationships with hospitals, regulatory agencies and affiliated professional organizations.
